Warm non authorial inscription from a navigator to his pilot inside the front cover. Additionally this soldier has filled up the front endpaper with his own memories of WWII, especially in London. Captain George L. Strauss, was part of the 387th Bomb Group which flew B-26's into Western Europe from England. Some underlining and margin comments in pencil (presumably from Strauss), some foxing to the first and last pages of the text, front hinge weak. A good copy only in a fair dust jacket (heavy edge wear, chipping to spine ends, long tear to at front flap fold, foxing to flaps). An extremely interesting copy. Protected in a mylar cover.
