Description:
Spine was very faded, now recoloured; worn at head and tail of spine and reinforced inside the channel. The front gutter was split, now repaired. Some foxing. Very faded gilt title on spine, now reworked.. Bright gilt title and coat of arms on front. This book is remarkable in that there is no author given on the title page almost as though the author was reluctant to publish. Another copy published in the same year is authored by Octavius & Mary Sturges, but seems to contain a few more pages. From the library of Mossel Bay with only one stamp extant to show provenance. Historical novel of interest to students of British rule in India: Addiscombe, Chotapoor, Muharram, East India Company. Rare and unique in this form. Printed by the Army and Navy Co-Operative Society.
