Lambert for what appears to be an advertisement for the book is pasted to front free endpaper. The author was an O'Henry award winner in 1923 for "Towers of Fame" a short story in McClures magazine. She also wrote for the Liberator, a marxist periodical. Free is a romantic novel set in the American midwest. Scarce title..
