Followed with notes on the historical relevance, context and glossary. While the title indicates that these cover just English history, several include Scotland and the borders. Some damp staining and bend to rear board.

Illustrated throughout with full page woodcuts and numerous other smaller woodcuts and vignettes. Occasional marks, generally very good and clean inside. Spine sunned and corners a little bumped. A good copy of this eminently readable classic of angling literature.
