Color photographs of murals created by the artist Anne Waterman Mattill for the children's reading area at the Concord Public Library (Massachusetts) almost monthly for two and a half decades. 11" x 5" landscape format, no visible wear, pages bright and unmarked. From the library (not stated) of Ann Evans Berthoff, a lifelong friend of the artist from their girlhood in Iowa to when both lived in Concord for many years.

The discussion by Harvard Professor Emeritus of English Kiely of the depiction of saints in Italian Renaissance art is illustrated throughout with color photographs of the art. Ten chapters each deal with one or a few saints, starting with the Virgin Mary and John the Baptist and including St. Augustine, St. Francis, and Catherine of Siena. Eight-page text followed by 24 color reproductions of works by the French Fauvist and Cubist artist Georges Braque. Mass-market paperback, self-wraps, age-toning and light foxing to white wraps and end papers, sewn binding, cocked, backstrip missing. No markings within, and color art reproductions are bright. Condition is "fair" because of the missing backstrip; otherwise the book is in good shape.
