Printing information on the title page is partially obscured by a pasted in cut out engraving "Sold by F. Roome. Derby". Dedication page to "The Most Reverend John Moore, D. D. Lord Archbishop of Canterbury". List of subscribers and an Index are present after the dedication. Plate printed score is legible and clean with some smudges around the bottom edges of the pages. Each Anthem title has a neat hand written note giving the relevant Bible verse reference. Pages are a little darkened. Brown leather spine is well rubbed and has surface cracks. Black leather spine label (Smith's Anthems) has loss at edges. Parchment corners are well worn and bumped with some loss. Very rubbed marbled paper covered boards with some loss of paper. Worn contemporary quarter leather with marbled paper covered boards. Plate printed music score with libretto set above vocal scores, also includes scores for "Voil", "Hautb", "Basso" (with figured bass), "Flauto piccolo", "Viola" and "Flauto". The plate printed score is clean, free from added notation and is bound together soundly. The leather spine is split and heavily flaked and covers are partially detached. The marbled paper on the covers is worn and has areas of loss. Edges are well scuffed. End-papers and inside covers have previous owners names and various small scribbles. At the rear of the volume the pasted end-paper is torn horizontally and the lower part is adrift from the rear inside cover, it includes a previous owners name and date written upside down "Ann Bonn, Book, 1802, Sarah Bonn".
