Fisher Unwin and printed the same year as the first edition, has the serious flaw of its front-free endpaper and flyleaf being torn out, likely to remove a gift inscription. Octavo, 9" tall, frontispiece + 35 black and white photo plates + 299 text pages, gilt spine titles, and white cover decoration on blue cloth. A very good hardcover overall, generally clean, sturdy, and square with minor shelf wear, rubbing at the corners, and minor darkening to the spine cloth, BUT the front free endpaper and fly-leaf have been torn out; binding solid, text paper lightly yellowed.
