Scarce presentation copy SIGNED, INSCRIBED, dated 1921 on the ffep. Major Hays (1880-1940) was part of the United States Army Medical Reserve Corps of WWI. (Not to be confused with WWII Airborne medic veteran Harold Hayes of 807th Airborne that crashed landed in Albania in 1943).
