This work gives the history of his work with illustrations of his beautiful work. Bound in tan cloth lettered in red, spine lettering red, some soiling, slightly bent corners, a small sticker to rear endpaper. A very good copy.

Besides his personal accounts in the West, he has included Joshua Goodenough's letter which he felt was important as early Indian history in the early days of the Republic. A very nice copy of a scarce book bound in blue-gray cloth lettered and decorated in silver, spine lettering silver, light rubbing to spine ends and corners, some separation at the gutter of title page.
