Hardcover, mustard yellow boards with black text on front and spine exterior shows soiling and edge/corner bumps, rear board has two cuts the cloth along the bottom edge into pinholes near the lower right spine area. Internal binding is good and text pages are secure. No hinge issues, no signatures or bookplates, no library markings present. Pages are toned due to age spotting/foxing is present, though the worst seems to be at the end pages. Book is been placed in an acid-free archival bag for protection.

Boston, MA: Henry Hoyt, 1863. Hardcover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original red binding black and gilt on spine. Cloth is quite spotted and stained as shown in the photos. No signatures or bookplates present. Pages are toned with foxing and spotting noted throughout. First edition thus. Rear free end pages are missing the last free page being the last indexed page.

Dark green cloth boards with gilt title on spine. Text is faded on spine and exterior shows spotting as well as edge and corner wear. Exterior page edges are darkened and there's a small ink spot on bottom of book. Interior pages are toned due to age but binding is good. No hinge cracks, no torn or loose pages. Front end page shows very faint evidence of something once written in red pencil, possibly a name, but it has been erased. 1922 printing.

Pittsburgh, PA: Chatham College, 1959. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Light blue cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows minor corner and edge bumps but spine is faded/sunned and has spots were all the color is gone. Interior binding good, binding tight with no hinge cracks. No signatures or bookplates. Only handwriting found was on the front end page where there is faint residue of a price was penciled in the corner. Minor foxing present on the end pages as well. The title page has a pasted in emblem of the college.

New York: The Macmillan Company, 1915. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards with gilt to spine. Exterior shows only minor handling wear. Brown end pages in front and rear. Front pastedown has previous owner's name penned along top edge. Scattered pages were found to have very light pencil underlining which can be erased if desired. Binding good, no hinge issues. Title page is stamped " Sample Copy". First edition thus with single date of August 1915 appearing on the copyright page. Top edge dust darkened.

DJ shows quite a bit of soiling, marks, tears and chips. The cloth boards show some spotting, mainly along the edges. First edition thus. Pages are toned due to age with some minor foxing present. No signatures or bookplates, no hinge issues. Book states the author was a Professor of German in Amherst College.

Bradbury, Sayles, O'Neill / Paragon Pressl, 1972. Hardcover. Fine. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Hardcover. This is the yearbook for the Delaware Technical & Community College, Southern Branch. Book is clean and tight. No name or handwriting, no torn or loose pages. There are a few small spots on the back board though these appear to be only a small spots of glue residue from when the book was made. See photos.

Chicago, IL: Published by the Author / Anderson Bros., Music Typographers, 1894. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, pale green paper covered boards with black cloth to spine. Front board is ornately decorated and rear board lists other publications by the author. Exterior is toned and spotted due to age. Internal binding of text pages is good though hinges are starting to crack at front and rear boards. Paper is quite toned due to age and quality of paper used. First end page has a signature on the front in pencil and another signature on the backside. No other handwriting found. The book contains numerous advertisements for the Randall organ and piano as well as other supplies. The reason for the low condition grade is because the last two pages have a long tear at measures roughly 8 inches from bottom to top, pages are still attached but not by much. Uncommon to find with only the 1894 date.

Philadelphia, PA: Sower, Barnes & Potts, 1863. Hardcover. Fair. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, illustrated paper covered boards with leather on spine. Exterior shows scuffing and soiling along with quite a bit of edge and corner wear, front hinge is cracking on the exterior leather which has affected about 40% of the front board hinge starting at the top. Internal binding of the text pages is good with thin cracks are present at the boards. Paper is toned due to age and scattered foxing and smudge marks are present. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. There is some light pencil scribble marks on the rear to end pages and also at the top of the rear board. One of the front end pages are is also missing, which is the main reason why the condition grade has been lowered to fair. Book is still very readable and usable.

Boston and Cambridge: Sever, Francis, & Co., 1870. Hardcover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original blue cloth boards with gilt text on spine. Exterior is in rough shape with numerous bumps and scuffs. Spine is wrinkled with small tear at the bottom and back board shows quite a bit of water damage. The interior binding is good and pages are secure. The paper is toned due to age and foxing is present throughout. The water issue that affected the rear board has also marked the index pages in rear along the hinge. The front end page and title page also show light dampstain marks the as seen in the photos. There are no page is stuck together and all pages are very readable. Philadelphia, PA: The Mary Gaston Barnwell Foundation, 1955. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, red cloth boards stamped on front and spine. Exterior shows spotting on all sides with dark spot on front. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Pages are a bit wavy at the top, likely due from dampstains in front end page through introduction shows a late stain the upper outside corner. The pages were exposed to moisture it in no way affects the text in all pages turn freely. Previous owner's name stamped on front pace down as well as top outside edge of book.

Philadelphia, PA: Theodore Bliss & Co., 1866. Hardcover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, marbled paper covered boards with half leather to spine. Exterior is heavily worn as are the edges and corners. Leather on spine also shows heavy wear and chipping with the exterior hinge on front board having leather cracked with binding string showing. Hinge crack can also be seen on the interior front though text pages are not affected. No publication date listed - nothing on the title page and copyright page is blank. Presumed publication date of 1866 based on the publisher name on the title page being listed as "Theodore Bliss & Co." instead of "H. C. Beck & Theodore Bliss" - which is shown on printings of 1851-1855. There is also a lightly penciled name on the second front end page along with a date of December 25, 1872. Pittsburgh, PA: A. H. English & Co., 1858. Hardcover. Good-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original brown cloth boards with leather to spine. Exterior is scuffed and spotted with quite a bit of wear to the corners and edges. There is also a tear in the leather at the upper left corner of the spine area. The internal binding has some issues with the webbing showing at both boards though binding is still secure. Pages show quite a bit of foxing throughout with some pages being heavy. Both the front and rear end pages and pastedowns contain penciling though there are no library markings, no text pages appear to be marked up, though some do have small corner folds.

Phil: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 1971. 2nd Printing. Soft cover. Good+. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. See photos for condition details. Tall softcover, textured card stock wraps shows soiling and handling wear, edges are curling and spine has a thin crack just after the "Y" in Calligraphy. This thin crack does not appear to be from misuse and may just be a binding issue in a strictly cosmetic. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no remainder marks or library markings. Only evidence of handwriting found in the book is on the front end page where there is faint residue in the upper corner where a previous price and cold was penciled.

Exterior shows spotting and soiling with the worst being the top portion of the front board. Edges and corners are mildly bumped. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. Paper is toned due to age spotting and foxing present. Front end page has signature and info of previous owner, no other handwriting found. Title page states revised edition.

Tall softcover, exterior shows spotting and smudge marks along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. The front end page has a signature the upper left corner which is written in pencil, other handwriting found. Pages are toned and there is some scattered foxing and spotting present all pages are secure. No bookplates, no remainder marks, no library markings.

New York: American Book Exchange, 1881. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards decorated in gilt and black. Cloth is bright though edges and spine show darkening. Spotting is noted to the finish of the cloth and dark spot at bottom of spine, possibly a ink spot. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues other than a bit of pulling at the title page. Previous owners name written on front pastedown. Pages are toned due to age and some spotting and foxing is present, with the worst of the foxing being the end pages and pastedowns.

Columbia, MO: Pi Lambda Theta, 1961. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with slipcase. Also included in the book is a card from the officers of Pi Lambda Theta stating this is a presentation copy. Slipcase shows soiling and scuffing, blank side has small red pen mark in the center of the top edge where there also a large split present. Blue cloth boards are clean though spine shows flaking to the gilt text. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. Only handwriting found in the book is on the front end page where there is a small red ink pen mark of a circled "2" along the top edge. Pages are clean and crisp, slipcase in G condition. We have multiple copies available at the time of this listing, each one is listed separately with their own condition photos.

New York: Mark H. Newman, 1846. Hardcover. Fair-. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original full leather binding with gilt on spine. Exterior is in rough shape with both the front and rear boards held on only by the binder string, is also chipping present at the top and bottom spine areas. The interior appears complete, although the rear end page has the top section cut off. Pages are toned due to age and there is foxing and spotting present throughout. Some pages have small corner folds present. The front end page in pastedown contains some handwriting written lightly in pencil which appears to be the only handwriting found in the book. There are a couple ink spots though; starting at the front board, continuing with a few pages here and there although it's mostly on the exterior page edges and boards. Please note is fragile because of the two exterior boards hanging on by just the binding string. The interior binding appears strong.

New Brunswick, NJ: Rutgers University Press, 1966. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG+/Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Original price is clipped off of the front flap. DJ is worn and scuffed with chipping and bumps to edges and corners. Red cloth boards underneath are clean with only minor edge bumping. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight, no signatures or bookplates present, no library markings. The front end page shows an indentation in the paper where price was once penciled and then later erased. A folded card is also placed on top of this page from Irving Pawa, Director of Alumni Relations, stating this book was given as a gift to one of the alumnus. This card is not attached to the page itself and is just folded over the top edge.
