Doubleday & Company, 1946. 1st Ed. Hardcover. Good/Fair. Signed. BEYOND SCARCE DOUBLE-SIGNED TRUE FIRST ISSUE. But condition issues, so please read on. First Issue points include $2.50 price on DJ, black spine, First Edition statement, no Junior Literary Guild. Signed with full names by both "Golden MacDonald" and Leonard Weisgard. Book is Good: flaws include wear at corners and lower edge, signature blocks loose as threading unravels, paper clip impression on page with signatures; otherwise clean with strikingly brilliant artwork. Dust jacket is Fair (please carefully examine photos): Caldecott Medal worn away, wear all around, split at spine. Now in new mylar. Expedited and international shipping are welcome; signed by author.
