Oblong 12mo. Green spine cloth with printed paper covered boards in non-glossy flat finish, yellow end papers. 1st edition. Illustrated in color by Clement Hurd. A fine copy in dust jacket with the corners clipped on the front flap and a light “$250” stamped at the top of the flap. A bit of darkening to the back panel of the jacket and the yellow end papers. A "Harper Blue Ribbon Book" sticker on the lower left corner of the front panel of the jacket wrapping around the spine.

Oblong octavo. Quarter green cloth and flat illustrated paper over boards. Rubbing, particularly at the bottom edges, very good, and internally fine, lacking the rare dustwrapper. A nice copy of a children's classic.
