Inside the front cover is a vernacular snapshot photograph from the 1940's with the original owner's name taped on the book shelf (Theodore Hailes) along with his Polar collection behind.
12mo, 151pp, with 8 plates (both sides) from photos, illustrations in text from drawings (sketch maps), and charts. Original green boards. Boards show signs of age as does the dust jacket which has sticky tape holding it together and one chip out of the back cover. Dust jacket protected with mylar cover. Spence 624.
