About This Item
Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Company, 1952. First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Near fine in a good to very good dust jacket. Slight wear to the black cloth on the front board; one page is slightly discolored from having a newspaper clipping laid in. The jacket is creased and has a few closed tears. $3.95 price on front flp; no names or other writing in the book. Stapled to the rear flap of the jacket is a newspaper clipping, apparently from Manhattan, Kansas, hometown of the author and the fictional setting for the novel, renamed New Boston.
