Book interior AS NEW, Boards, Very Fine, Dust Jacket Near Fine. Book has gold cloth boards, spine, gilt lettering, title embossed into cloth front cover. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, has few creases, one small chip and a small tear 1/2 inch. The mainly black dust jacket has a few “scuffs” made by the adjacent books on the shelf. Nice colour photo on back of jacket. Book is clean, tight, sewn binding. 24 pages of Colour and black/white photo plates. Illustrated end pages.

Farrar, Straus and Giroux 1969 first edition, third printing. A modern classic, somewhat hard to find.
Conditions of the book and dust jacket are Near Fine, with no significant condition issues. The DJ is complete, not price clipped. It is protected in a new mylar cover.

This book is in fair condition. The front, back and spine of the cover boards has wear. The edges of the cover boards are worn also, and the corners have been bumped quite a bit. The dust jacket is in poor condition. The front, back and spine of the dust jacket is extremely worn. The edges are frayed and the corners are bumped beyond repair. There are numerous tears and the dust jacket is soiled. The first end page is stamped with the library's mark. The second end page is written on by the previous owner. The pages are tanned and yellowed , but clear from all markings. "The most significant period in the career of Francis Marion was that between August 15, 1780, and September 8, 1781.
