About This Item

New York: Harper & Row, 1985. First Edition, First Printing . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Robert Andrew Parker. The inteiror of the book is clean and tight, showing light previous use, but no marks or damage. The beige and blue covers are fresh, with light wear at edges and corners. The dust jacket is price clipped, and again shows llittle wear. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover and looks very attractive. Synopsis: A picture book about friendship and loyalty between brothers. It retells an old legend about two brothers who grew up on their father's farm. When he grew old, he divided his farm between the boys, telling them always to be friends and help each other. And they did. One year when the rain did not fall and the wheat dried up, each brother worried more about the other, and chose exactly the same way of helping each other. They were prompted by a legacy of love and caring passed on to them by their father, and which they in turn passed on to others.
