Hinges are slightly cracked with exposed netting. Clean pages with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pen inscription to front pastedown and free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Lettering is bright and clear. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Visible wear marks to boards.

Scribners, 1911 Sea Stories Will Owen Hardcover First American Edition. Very good. Missing dust jacket. Book is good with wear at corners and general minor edgewear. Lots of marks and soiling though not a bad copy . Page edges are soiled. Internal pages are clean. "Beige cloth boards with black, white and blue illustration and black lettering. 34 illustrations by Will Owen in black and white."

Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning with visible tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft crushing to ends. Lettering remains bright and clear.

A lovely, fresh, clean, tight near fine copy in a similar acetate jacket. Original publisher's orange cloth - stamped with black titles to the spine and to the front board. No inscriptions. Slight spotting to the upper fore-edge. The jacket has not been price-clipped and is not chipped or torn. Published in 1986 and not 1997 as the library info. suggests.
