vintage 1926 hardcover has rubbing and wear to orange boards, corners bumped and rubbed and worn, edgeworn and rubbed at spine, top spine edge frayed, small approx 1/2" chip off top corner edge, some pocks and dents to boards, title page loosening at top, spine cocked, prev owner embellished name in pencil on front flyleaf otherwise nice clean pages and still in all an acceptable and solid, clean nice reading and reference copy of this wonderful Indiana basketball classic of the Twenties.

New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1926 Bound in yellow cloth with titles and decorations stamped in black. First edition, with the publisher's one in parentheses (1) on the final page of the text. Lacks the frontipiece, which was the only illustration. General rubbing and fading to the cloth, former owner's info to the front pastedown, otherwise unmarked. The first signature is slightly skewed, likely due to the removal of the frontispiece. Hinges solid. Difficult to find in the Appleton edition. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition (stated).. Hard Cover. Fair/No Jacket. Illus. by Wilbur, Lawrence.
