Boston: George W. Light, 1838. Second stereotype edition, 1838. Guidance on housekeeping, planning, different types of food and their nutritional and curative values, recipes, etc. Worn but sound example in dark green cloth with gilt spine lettering and an allover pattern embossed in blind, 7 inches tall, 424 pages plus 8 pages of publisher's ads. Spine faded with some chipping to the ends, ghost of old adhesive tape near the top inner corner of both covers, front hinge internally cracked but secure, text block sound, pages age-toned but clean with occasional foxing, transparent stain to rear free endpaper and final page of advertisements, no names or other markings.. Hard Cover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
