Illustrated endpapers -- showing multiple road signs in black against a bright yellow background. The text is illustrated with numerous black-and-white cartoons/drawings by Fougasse. Bright yellow coloured cloth covered boards with black illustration to the front and back cover by Fougasse and black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Bumping and a slight fraying to the backstrip edges and book corners. The spine is cocked. Browning to the text block edges and to the internal text. Shelf wear to the lower book edges. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Fougasse, with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. The top dustwrapper edge has become soft and creased with a few small closed tears and there is a small tear to the lower left-hand corner of the rear dustwrapper panel. Darkening of the backstrip and heavy rubbing to either side of the spine and lesser rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner. This book was first published in 1935 and it was relevant then, as it is now, about the hazards of road usage. Size: 8vo - over 7Â¾" - 9Â¾" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
