Harper& Brothers, 1881. Good+/No Dust Jacket. Hardcovers: Military Academy bookplate on first paste-down. Dark blue cloth binding with title in gold on frontboard and on spine. Spine edges are chipped and both edges are each missing a small strip. Corners are bumped.All pages are oxidized. Paper over hinges is starting, but binding is still nice and tight. Frontispiece and some engravings are tissue guarded.The surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown, Virginia on the 19th of October, 1781 marks the successful close of the American Revolution. Peace and the final treaty was not to be ratified until two tears later but, the decisive characterof the event was rcognized by England and its leaders. Nice tight binding. .
