C WYETH . 1st Printing 1 Copyright 1939 by Charles Scribner's Sons, first edition of the Pulitzer Prize with [A] on the copyright page. Brown cloth over boards with Brown lettering and design on the front and on the spine. 14 illustrations by N.C. Wyeth. Pictorial inside covers front and back. No bent pages, a chip on page 399 on the right fore edge top, 11-93. 50 stamped on the back inside flyleaf top. Light green tint to the top page edges grooves front and back are browning, spine slightly Brown. Fore edge pages not cut, some Browning and foxing on the interior pages. No Dust Jacket, shelf wear to the edges and to the head of the toe of the spine are minor. Bright clean text tight binding, a solid collectible book.
