London: Henry Colburn Publisher A handsome high quality full leather binding with 5 raised bands on spine. no date - mid to later 19th century. 8vo 7 3/4" x 5". viii, 445 pages. The 12 months of the year are the chapters. With engraved illustrations from designs by Birket Foster at beginning of each chapter. Marbled endpages. Page edges brightly gilded. Front and rear boards blindstamped. Boards tooled in gilt on edges and elaborate dentelle gilding on inside edge as well. Spine stamped in gilt with black title and red author leather labels. Most of title label on spine is missing. Tightly bound. Very good condition. .
