Olive green cloth illustrated in black, grey and white with grey and green title panel on front, black lettering on spine a little rubbed, a few marks, slightly rubbed on spine tips, colour frontispiece + many b/w ills by A. GUNSTON, some spotting on page edges, paper browning, else vg. small 8vo, 120pp + 8pp catalogue. Printed in Bavaria. The story of a small Moorish boy rescued by Christopher Columbus from a murderous crowd. He sails with his master and in the end saves Columbus' life at the cost of his own. The little black boy is portrayed by the illustrator as white.
