A few small chips along the spine, minor wear to the extremities. 1-inch price sticker on the top left corner of the back of the jacket. Spine and back cover are slightly toned. Slight crease to spine. Jacket protected in mylar sleeve. Signed and inscribed by Madeleine L'Engle on the ffep, reading "for Margaret -tesser with joy - Madeleine L'Engle" in blue ink. "Tesser with joy" is a lovely adaptation of L'Engle's usual inscription to young readers, "tesser well." Two-inch faded water stain at the gutter of the back endpapers. Pages are clean, bright, and unmarked. Textblock has a slight deckled edge. A beautiful copy of L'Engle's most beloved work, with an inscription sure to warm any reader's heart. .
