First Edition of the 1963 Newbery Medal winner, the 1965 Sequoyah Book Award, and the 1965 Lewis Carroll Shelf Award. Dust jacket in the second state, with the Newbery Medal sticker applied. The first in the author's series of novels for children of the Murry and O'Keefe families. L'Engle drew upon her interest in science, and here she combines time travel science fiction in a children's book. as the characters journey through space and time, from universe to universe, the travail between light and darkness. The novel includes references to Einstein's theory of relativity. Rare in the first edition, in unclipped jacket. Backstrip faded, back cover of dust wrapper with a few stains. .

Synopsis

A Wrinkle in Time is a science fantasy novel by Madeleine L'Engle, first published in 1962. The book won a Newbery Medal, Sequoyah Book Award, and Lewis Carroll Shelf Award, and was runner-up for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. It is the first in L'Engle's series of books about the Murry and O'Keefe families.

Great read for a kid, adult, or anyone who hasn't lost their sense of mystery and adventure. What if? What if time travel were as easy as L'Engle proposes? I still look for Mrs. Whatsit to point me in the right direction.
