After his friend Cody disappears into the forest, Dallas is determined to find him, unbeknownst to his younger brother Joey, whom he invites along on his trip and believes them to be on a simple hunting trip. After Cody is found crucified in the woods and a young woman Stevie rushes upon the brothers to avoid being raped again, after she had been held prisoner, the brothers realize something else is wrong. A father has lead his sons and followers into the woods, believing him to be a prophet of God, and determined to punish nonbelievers. They now are pursuing the woman and brothers, one of whom is also pursuing a secret aim. Set in Rocky Mountains, shot on location in California. Grey titled wrappers. Draft script for the 1970 television film which aired on CBS on November 20, 1970, here under the working title "The Man in the Back Seat," with annotation on top right margin in manuscript green marker of "Pt. of Fisherman." This makes reference to the film's two "fisherman" roles, played by Richard Romanus and Joseph V. De Santis. David Janssen, again a fugitive, is Adrian Vico, fleeing to Mexico, after shooting his wife's lover, in Ernie Green's cab, played by the brilliant Yaphet Kotto. Set in Los Angeles, shot on location in Los Angeles and San Diego, California. Olive green titled wrappers. Title page present, dated February 17, 1970, with credits for screenwriter Marvin A.
