About This Item
Chicago: Printed by J. H. N. for Friends of Henry Miller, 1940. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Signed. First edition, limited. Shifreen & Jackson's third binding variant in publisher's blue cloth with gold title label lettered in black, raspberry-pink end papers. Though the limitation states only 250 copies printed, it is believed that the actual number of copies printed far exceeds that amount, perhaps totaling 750-1,000. Signed by Henry Miller on the first blank page, though not as called for. Very Good with rubbing to gilt title block on front cover, spotting to cloth at edges. Shifreen & Jackson A25d.
