Spines lightly faded, rubbed to extremities, previous owners armorial bookplate (Sir Baldwin Leighton - presumably the Seventh Baronet, but possibly the Sixth) to front boards and previous owners name again to front pastedowns. Internally some browning and foxing, usually light, but occasionally heavier, occasional soiling but generally fairly clean, one or two gatherings slightly loose, but attached, black ink mark to ffep of volume one, frontispiece off-set onto title. Half-title and engraved portrait frontispiece to volume one. The first of the "Nichols's" editions, Teerink-Scouten 129. First Thus. Half Calf and Boards. Good. 8vo.
