About This Item
Philadelphia: Joseph Crukshank. 2 vols bound in one. 436 pages. Worn leather covers, back hinge cracked and almost completely detached. Front cover was detached but then hand sewn back on. Pages yellowed and moderately foxed. Mouse chewed large portion of first few pages and then less of the next 30 or so pages--affects text on title page and bottom edge of introduction. Does not affect text of Woolman's actual works. Date of 1774 is assumed based on the partial words of the city and printer, which suggest Joseph (Crukshank) in Phila(delphia), which would then be in 1774 and a first edition. Smith II:961 . Poor. Full Leather. First edition. 1774.
