The first Penguin Books edition of a book previously first published in 1939 and revised in 1962. Firmly bound with some handling wear on the cover including creases and edge rubbing, faded spine, tanned pages, name of former owner written inside.

A large piece of the top panel is missing from the front and the back of the dust jacket. There is foxing around the block of the book, but very little in the body of the book.
