London: J.M. Dent & Sons Ltd, 1959. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo (imperial). Full black cloth, gilt lettering to spine, gilt device to front. In custom plastic cover with title printed on front in red lettering. Top edge green. xliv, 355 pp. Fully illustrated in B&W, plus coloured woodcut frontis. Some yellowing to plastic cover, worse at spine, and some chips to spine ends and corners. Bookseller sticker to foot of front pastedown, former ownership stamp to head of ffep. Otherwise a near fine copy of the engravings of Irish wood engraver and sculptor Robert Gibbings.
