Philadelphia, PA: Zeigler, McCurdy & Co.. G. 1868. Early Edition. Hardcover. 1868 edition bound in brown blind stamped cloth with gold lettering. 1 6 steel engraved plates. 6" X 9", 799 pages. A Good copy. The binding is stained at the spine and the rear board. The front board is clean b ut is torn along the outer front seam at the gutter. Rubs and frays to the corners. The inner hinges are not cracked and the sewing is tight . The interior pages have scattered foxing through-out. The tissue gua rds for the engravings are mildly tanned. Introduction by Henry W. Be llows. Decent reading copy. .
