Woman's Home Companion Cook Book -

New York: P. F. Collier & Son, 1946. Hardcover, xvi + 951 pages including drawn illustrations within the text, plus many full page photographs in full colour and black-and-white; clearly a well loved and much used book, well worn around covers and edges and spine ends, covers soiled and stained (I cleaned both with alcohol, so nothing gross or disgusting remaining!), surprisinly for such a large heavy book still tight in binding, all three edges age toned, particularly top edge, "fruit fritters p. 177" written in ink on title page with some notes in ink next to that recipe, pages otherwise unmarked, most pages very clean, fresh and white, but some have butter finger or cooking oil stains (nothing gross or disgusting about that, another sign of a well loved book), overall it ain't pretty, poor covers, but tight, interior good or better, still a useable reading and working copy. [this copy priced low, priced to go to a good home as bookseller is nearing retirement, but extra S & H at cost will be requested] . Hard Cover. Fair.
