About This Item

FE. STOWE, Harriet Beecher. WOMAN IN SACRED HISTORY. Illustrated with 25 Chromo-Lithographs. New York: J.B. Ford and Company, (1873). This edition, though printed in part from the same plates as the other American edition, has been extended by the addition of 6 sketches by Stowe and verse by others. BAL has not been able to establish the date of publication of this extended edition, but assumes that it follows that of the shorter 1874 edition. Large 4to, brown cloth backed in half morocco, stamped in gilt; a.e.g. Extremities are rubbed and frayed; hinges cracked externally. As is. [BAL 19480].
