London: George G. Harrap & Co. Ltd, 1931. FIRST UK EDITION. Large 8vo, pp. + tipped-in colour frontis and numerous b/w plates and illustrations. Blue cloth, silver stamped lettering and decoration to spine and boards. Gilt top edge. Fore- and bottom edges untrimmed, a few pages uncut. Spine sunned, pushing to spine ends. 'Easton Neston Library' shelf sticker to front pastedown, but no other library markings. Else, clean, bright and tight. Near fine. An attractive copy, unusual in gilt-stamped boards.
