She was a participant in the resistance movement of the Warsaw Uprising, captured, tortured and released but later died of ill health. Tan cloth-covered boards with red lettering on cover. A smudge on front free endpaper, two facing pages have what looks like coffee drips (two), otherwise, a tight clean copy. Dust jacket has some soiling and edgewear. .
