Adelaide, [Australia]: F.W. Preece & Sons, 1930. First Edition. Small Quarto. One of the best accounts of the beliefs and stories of the Aboriginal people of North-West New South Wales. The author lived among some of the finest aboriginal tribes most of her life recording their legends and stories. Unfortunately, the tribes had almost become extinct making this venture more difficult for her but passionate to tell their story. 98p., nicely illustrated by Nora Heysen, bound in beige pictorial paper covered boards lettered and decorated in black and red, backed in red cloth, pictorial endpapers. A fine bright copy in original pictorial dust jacket with some finger soiling. Very nice.
