About This Item
Original red covers with illustrations by Quentin Blake. A few soft creases and a couple of areas of minor rubbing to spine and upper cover.
A very good example indeed of a rare proof, bearing the author's signature.
Synopsis
Roald Dahl's, The Witches , tells the story of the "real" witches, their great hatred for kids, and their plot to destory all of the children of the world! This is a great tale for older kids, or one to read to younger children. It is eerie and strange in parts, poignant in others, and yet maintains an optimistic perspective from the hero; a young boy turned into a mouse by a witch who must plot to save the other children of the world. This book is on the American Library Association list of the 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books of 1990 to 1999.
