While best remembered for his classic novella The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince), Saint-Exupéry was also an aviator and member of the French Air Force.

Publisher's original maroon cloth over boards, gilt lettering and floral ornamentation to the spine and front board, untrimmed page edges. Lightest bumping to the spine ends, else, cloth extremities remain remarkably well-preserved. Contents entirely without blemish with bright, clean, and unmarked pages and, firm sound binding; near fine and housed in original, very good, lightly shelfworn, price-clipped, dustjacket showing some creasing along the edges, and one short closed tear to the rear panel along the spine (dustjacket now housed in protective mylar cover). Dustjacket bears a photograph of the author to the rear panel accompanied with a short biography, and list of additional titles penned by de Saint-Exupéry to the rear inner-panel. Overall, very good.
