A very good to fine copy of the book in a very good plus dust wrapper. Decorations by E.H. Shepard. "Pooh Bear" has a rich history that started with a Canadian Lieutenant buying a bear off a hunter during the First World War, that bear was named Winnie after the Lieutenants hometown in Winnipeg Manitoba, Winnie was eventually moved to a zoo which is where Christopher Robin Milne met Winnie. Christopher came to name a stuffed bear he had after Winnie which inspired A. A. Milne to start writing this classic story. In 1961 Disney licensed rights to Winnie the Pooh and it has since become one of the companies most successful franchises. Pooh is still a classic character with many movies, TV series, and further books still being made. A scarce first edition of this children's classic in a dust jacket. 1926

The Bear of Very Little Brain and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood have delighted generations of readers since Winnie-the-Pooh was first published in 1926. Three cheers for Pooh!
