Black illustrated half title page, showing the Clare Valley in the late 1800s. Map frontispiece, showing the Clare Valley and environs, showing the wineries. The text is illustrated with black and white and coloured photographs, some from the early days of the winemaking in the Clare Valley. The text is also illustrated with numerous examples of the labels from the various wines of the Clare Valley. Brown coloured boards with a white illustration on the front panel, same illustration as for half title page. White writing on the front panel and spine. Slight rubbing to the edges of the spine and to the book corners. Photographic dust wrapper, showing a winemaker placing a plug back into a wine barrel on the front panel and on the back panel, showing a small river of the Clare Valley. Yellow writing to the front panel and spine. A small book about the winegrowing region north of Adelaide -- the Clare Valley. There is a scrape marks on the left-hand edge of the front panel of the dust jacket, equidistant from the top and bottom. There is no other damage to declare. This is the first Australian edition.
