Additionally INSCRIBED by Henry Miller on the front endpaper: "To me S.D. [Salvador Dali] is a prick of the first water, I know, from intimate contact. May he live to screw himself! / Henry Miller / 1/31/73 / Especially inscribed for / Pierre Sicari / recently of Corsica." Sicari was Miller's barber, friend, and confidant, as well as one of the foremost Miller collectors in the world. An interesting and colorful description, as Miller knew Dali through the 1930s and 40s and, by some accounts, truly did not like him. Very Good plus without a dust jacket as issued. Small dampstain to the front page edge, minor splitting to the edges, and light soil.
