Description:
Winchester: P & G Wells Ltd, 1933. Third edition. Very Good. This book is produced by the Winchester College Archaeological Society and represents substantially the papers read in the Spring of 1913, supplemented by the contributions of some former members. It is designed, in brief, to give a sketch of the history, buildings, and life of the city. For uniformity's sake, each paper consists of three parts answering those divisions. First printed in 1913, this Third edition has been revised throughout and in many places re-written. Brown card boards with white cloth spine. Writing to front cover and spine. Hand cut pages, owner inscribed. A lovely map that pulls out inside. Minor shelf wear, clean pages and tight binding. AB55
