About This Item

Den Haag: De Albatros, 1933. Pamphlet. 19p., staplebound pamphlet, paper toned, else very good condition. Text in Dutch. The prolific Dutch anarchist Constandse defends the mutiny by seamen aboard the Dutch cruiser "De Zeven Provinciën" at Surabaya, provoked in part by a pay cut. Most of the mutineers were from Southeast Asia, joined by three Europeans. The author compares the mutineers to William of Orange, leader of the Dutch rebellion against the Spanish, and criticizes the position of the S.D.A.P. (Sociaal Democratische Arbeiders Partij).
