New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1930. First Edition. Large Octavo. 417 pages, index. Title page adds: with 84 illustrations from Photographs and a map. This book belonged to Robert L. Coates who was with the 131st Signal Radio Intelligence Company. In the maps on the endpapers in the back of the book, he traces the routes he flew across Alaska and Yukon Territory. His route began in Seattle by ship to Juneau and onto the Kenai Peninsula where he flew to Bethel, McGrath, Fairbanks, White Horse, Fort Nelson and back. He details the route in red pencil. Bound in rust cloth lettered and pictoriall stamped in black, spine lettering black, endpapers are maps. A very nice copy.
