New York: G.W. Dillingham Co., (1907). First edition. Illustrated by Charles Grunwald. A novel of the Civil War. 8vo gilt-stamped red cloth boards; top edge gray. Interesting, presumed book-club copy with "This was written by a friend of mine and if you don't like it you are to be sure and tell me. Edson" on front pastedown, and "Bonar" in pencil at head of front free endpaper with the signature of "Irene B. Crolliers, Taylorstown Pennsylvania" beneath. Near fine lacking a dust jacket, if issued in one.
