Solid (given its age) and VG- in its purple cloth, with bright gilt-titling at the front panel. Light offsetting along the panel edges, detached front and rear endpapers, discreet former owner name (in pencil) appearing twice along the endsheets/pastedowns. Very light, inoffensive staining as well running along the lower-edges of the text. Fragile, to be sure, but at the same time an uncommon title in the literature of late 19th century horology.
