There is a gilt cameo to the lower right-hand corner of the front dustwrapper panel stating "Now a Major Film". One of the classics of early Australian women pioneering of the Northern Territory. The author went with her husband to the then very unexplored and unknown Roper River region of Northern Territory in the late 19th century. These are her reminiscences of that time.
