Hardcover. 16mo - 15 x 10.5 cm.; x - 332 - (4) pp. Dark gray cloth over boards with gilt lettering on the spine and the front board. Brown silk book mark ribbon set into the headband as issued. First published in 1967, this is the fifth printing. From Bill's foreword dated April, 1967: "This volume contains several hundred excerpts from our literature, touching nearly every aspect of the A. A.'s way of life. It is felt that this material may become an aid to individual meditation and a stimulation to group discussion, and may well lead to a still wider reading of all our literature". Six page alphabetical "Discussion and Reading Guide" index at the front. The externals show mild to moderate wear to the spine tips and the gilt lettering on both the spine and the front is a tad dulled. Otherwise very clean with a tight binding. .
